Sirena is a lamp that shows how from simple paper we can create an object to be placed in our living spaces. The name "Sirena" recalls a marine entity, almost a creature from the depths of the ocean, which attracts passersby with its light.

The lamp has an iron mesh framework supported by wood and features three light points along its back. The technique used for its creation is that of the historic Viareggio carnival, as the area is very close to Lucca, where each year artists produce sculptures entirely made of paper. Following that technique, objects are made by placing a layer of paper pulp over the frames to provide support to the structure. The paper pulp is produced from industrial waste from various companies present in the Lucca area. Lucca is a renowned city for having one of the largest paper production districts in Europe, and thus, there is a lot of waste generated from that industry.
