Yaki Bench - Henri Canivez

Yakisugi is an ancient Japanese exterior siding technique that preserves wood by charring it. The YAKI bench uses this method and is made of burned oak with clean and natural modern shapes, which reminds the simplicity of forms from the mid-century. The light reflected by the black texture adds another layer of depth to the overall shape of the bench.
