Hot Wire Extensions is a young sustainable brand, presenting a bold innovative manufacturing process.

Exploration is central to their philosophy and the Hot Wire Extensions process is conceived with this in mind. Using waste SLS 3D nylon powder, a material that is currently not recycled, and inspired by the way a vine grows around a tree, Hot Wire Extensions re-purpose the material to create organic bone-like structures built around a wire.

Hot Wire Extensions was founded by Fabio Hendry, owner and director of former Studio ilio. Hendry has collaborated and been commissioned by private and public sectors ranging from design galleries, public institutions, retail and private clients. His work has been recognised through grants from the Arts Foundation, London and the Swiss Arts Council, as well as awards from IMM Pure Talents, Cologne; Design Preis Schweiz; the Architecture Digest Design Award and the Sustain award at the Royal College of Art.
